This is the 'bridge', and will be used for the girls 'bridging' up from Brownies to Juniors.
This is a rainbow of candles - since the theme for the celebration was a rainbow - and they each had a meaning that the girls read later in the celebration.
And, of course, setting up for the treats after the ceremony...
Some of the older Junior, who will be moving on to Cadets, helped with planning and setting up.
The ceremony began with the girls coming down through a 'rainbow' of streamers.
Next, was the Pledge of Allegiance...
...and the Girl Scout Pledge.
Here's the whole group.
Part of the Girl Scout Law, given with hand signs.
Gathering for the next part of the ceremony.
First, troop leader Teri mas some nice things to say about the other ladies who helped run the troop this year.
Then, the candles were lit along with their corresponding meanings. Here, Kayl waits her turn...
Kayl lights the gold candle.
Here's the whole troop for a group pic.
Next came some gifts for the Juniors moving up to Cadets from the leaders...
...and recognition of those moving up to Cadets.
During the 'bridging' ceremony for the Brownies that will be Juniors next year, the remaining Juniors from this year who will be with them next year join them...
...and pin on their 'wings' for "flying up" to Juniors.
more wings
And then came gifts for those remaining Juniors.
Let the celebrations begin!!
A couple of songs...
...and some flowers to end the ceremony.
Then, it's off to the goodies!!
She has flowers in her hair...
Time for treats!
