Why, you go to the land that has a castle and dine with royalty! From their brochure: "Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, part of the Norway Pavilion within Epcot theme park World Showcase, provides a Disney Princess Storybook Dining experience in a medieval castle-themed restaurant. Akershus Royal Banquet Hall showcases authentic Norwegian cuisine for dinner."
And from their menu: "The Royal Feast begins with a 'Taste of Norway,' sliced deli meats, seafood, and a grand selection of prepared salads, cheeses, and breads. The Dinner Entree Selections include: Baked Salmon topped with Spicy Mustard, Pasta Akershus, Braised Lamb, Braised Beef Short Ribs, Venison Stew, Fresh Poached Cod, and Traditional Kjottkake. The Royal Chef's Dessert Plate includes: Traditional Rice Cream, Chocolate Mousse Cake, and Lingonberry Cheesecake (served on one plate to be enjoyed by everyone)."
So, Belle was the host tonight in the banquet hall, and in addition to greeting Kayl (Sean wouldn't get his picture with any princesses - Ariel thought he was being a little 'crabby', and Snow White thought he might be 'grumpy'), she gave us a big hug and congratulated us on 25 years of "Happily Ever After".
After our dinner with royalty, we went across the walkway to one of the best spots to watch the fireworks - according to all of Robb's research. And it was! We had a fantastic view right from the railing, and got to see it very well...
Several of the light elements are on barges, and motor around the lagoon while the fireworks are going off.
The fireworks looked to be right above us, just slightly out over the water - cool spot!
This world did several things - it served as a center-piece, also as a display screen for video, and then came apart for even more fireworks.
We loved the colors on this picture. Robb took hundreds, but only a few came out this good...
After the show (and battling the crowds to make it back to the entrance) we stopped for one more set of pictures. It was a pretty phenomenal anniversary!!
