horse camp

Kayl opted to go to a Girl Scout "Horse Camp" this spring.  It was at a local camp, and was just one afternoon and overnight, but she had a great time!  (We weren't there to get pictures, so a big 'thank you' to her troop leaders for taking some for us.)  Here, the girls are getting to meet one of the horses, and get a little instruction before they get started.

This is Kayl on her horse.  She said she was a little nervous at first, but after they got started she has a fantastic time!

After the ride, they learned how to groom the horses, and care for them.

Kayl said she liked it so much that she helped with several of the horses...

In addition to the horses, and some arts and crafts that was horse related, they also got to do several 'camp' activities.  Kayl loved the big swing.

Here's a morning pic of a couple of the girls in their bunks.  Love Kayl's flowery long johns...

See the little craft critters on the bunk rail?  Somehow the girls' bunks got 'cooties'!
