Palm Sunday

One of the traditions of our church for Palm Sunday (the service where we recognize Jesus riding toward his fate, one week before Easter) is to have a procession of kids waving palm branches much like the story in the Bible says happened with Jesus.

Well, most of the kids waved their palms - Sean just kinda drug his as he walked by...

After the service, we have a craft time for the kids while the helpers are out hiding eggs for our annual hunt.  The kids thought this one looked interesting.

It only involved folding and a little gluing...

Okay - actually a LOT of folding, and a little glue!

The folding wasn't hard - just back and forth - but again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again...

Oh, cool!  We can use tape instead of glue.  That will make it a little less messy.

After spending most of their time doing that, Sean got in a little Easter bingo.  (Mostly I think he just ate the marshmallows...)

Lastly, they sat and waited for the egg hunt to begin.  But you have to check the next post for that!
