Which was kind of funny, since the shepherds were younger kids than him!
Kayl helped him get his costume on.
But before the pageant, they sand a Christmas song with Kayl's friend.
Now they were getting ready for the pageant...
The pageant had two sides - the right side was a courtroom in which three shepherdesses were on trial for disturbing the peace and being a public nuisance. Kayl was 'Dr. Fruitcake' - an expert for the prosecution who testified that the shepherdesses were delusional from inhaling sheep-breath, and that angels - had they actually been there - most certainly wouldn't have talked to them.
While on the left side of the stage, the traditional nativity setting was being enacted to match the trial story.
A very attentive sheep looking at the baby...
And, of course, the whole thing was liberally sprinkled with carols, in which everyone - trial, nativity & audience - sang.
Kayl had me take a couple pictures of the church sanctuary, as she thought it looked beautiful.
